Arizona Fibromyalgia Doctor

As a board certified Family Practice Specialist since the 1980’s, I was “drafted” by some of my family practice patients to help them with Fibromyalgia. At the time there were very few Arizona Fibromyalgia doctors, and the patients told me they were exasperated by their impression that other doctors did not believe them as they shared their struggles with debilitating aches and pains, fatigue, and brain fog.I was reluctant to get involved at that time, because there was little training in Fibromyalgia and little was known about this new diagnosis. Because some of my patients were persistent however, I soon was consulting 8-10 patients in our practice as an Arizona Fibromyalgia doctor. Prior to the internet patients would bring in newspaper and magazine articles to try to offer helpful ideas. Before I knew it, I was treating my patients with lifestyle and nutritional interventions, as there were few effective medications for Fibromyalgia to consider at that time.Fibromyalgia patients have support groups and other networks and soon, by word of mouth, I had 15-20 desperate Fibromyalgia patients who were looking for an Arizona Fibromyalgia doctor to help with their case. At the end of the 1980’s, seminars and professional medical courses in Fibromyalgia became available. In the early 1990’s I became involved in some clinical research on Fibromyalgia, published my findings, and gave lectures on the subject. Much to my surprise, this really enhanced and spread my reputation as an Arizona Fibromyalgia doctor, as people started to call, fax and write from all over Arizona and the United States seeking my help.Fibromyalgia means pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons-the soft fibrous tissues in the body. Many Fibromyalgia patients say they ache all over. Their muscles may feel like they have been pulled or overworked. Sometimes the muscles twitch and at other times they burn. As any Arizona Fibromyalgia doctor quickly learns, it is important to treat numerous symptoms besides the pain including fatigue, sleep disorders, brain fog, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic headaches, and TMJ syndrome. It has been my privilege to have helped hundreds of Fibromyalgia patients as an Arizona Fibromyalgia doctor since 1986. While there still is no cure, we are learning about more and better ways to help the symptoms and improve functionality. We are an Arizona Bariatric Office specializing inWeight Loss & Weight Loss Management,Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia
